I’ve always been a fighter, been boxing since I was about 5. I did the whole Golden Gloves thing, and did pretty well too. So back last Thursday I’m hitting the speed bags, just to break a little sweat, when this younger guy wants to spar for a couple of rounds. At Resurrection Hospital, all they could do if wrap me up and give me some pain meds. They took the obligatory x-ray, and told me that the first few nights would be tough when I coughed or breathed deep. Oh yeah it was rough, but I’ve been through some broken bones before, and the ribs actually healed faster than I expected.

The bill came about 3 weeks after my little visit, and even though they didn’t do much to help me, other than give me some pain meds, my bill was ridiculous.
