I’ve always been a fighter, been boxing since I was about 5. I did the whole Golden Gloves thing, and did pretty well too. At Resurrection Hospital, all they could do if wrap me up and give me some pain meds. They took the obligatory x-ray, and told me that the first few nights would be tough when I coughed or breathed deep. Oh yeah it was rough, but I’ve been through some broken bones before, and the ribs actually healed faster than I expected.

The bill came about 3 weeks after my little visit, and even though they didn’t do much to help me, other than give me some pain meds, my bill was ridiculous. My mom and I just loved the Midwest. We were able to afford a nice apartment in Norridge, just outside the city of Chicago.
