The other day my friend Tony asked me to go the boxing gym with him. He told me I should get some gloves, handwraps, and some headgear. This is turning into the Age of Creative Financing.  With the banks in meltdown, my own finances as well, a guy’s gotta do what a guy’s gotta do.

My short story is this: In the past 12 months, I’ve gotten laid off, got bad credit from unpaid bills, been so short on cash I cut the land line phone.  Then a buddy from Kellogg called asking me to come help him with his business in Boston.  All I had to do was get there and I could live with him and work for a few weeks for good pay.
